I was looking for a basic, supportive walking shoe. I was hoping for bounciness and resiliency in the sole of this shoe, but found none. I felt hard and strangely angular underfoot. It also felt a bit narrow and a bit short compared to my usual size. One good thing: I found the elastic under the tongue of this shoe was just as comfortable as the same shoe style with a tie closure. The SAS tripod insole is much more comfortable.

This shoe seemed very short. I couldn’t even get my foot into it. I have another pair of SAS shoes in the same size (8N), but those shoes are much longer than these. they might be comfortable if they fit properly.

I felt the no support in the back of my heel. the shoe kept sliding out as I walked. I am returning them for this reason. I love Zappos their customer service is second to none.

My mother-in-law has worn this style for several years and loves them. She used to buy them at the local Springfield, IL shoe store. That store told her recently that this style was no longer made so she purchased a different style of SAS shoes that the store clerk talked her into a larger size so now she has purchased a $200 pair of shoes that she is stuffing tissue paper in the toes because they are too big! How sad to do that to a 93 year old woman! But many thanks to the SAS website. I ordered her normal size online on a Friday and received them on Monday!! What great service! She loves her SAS shoes!!

Finally a keeper! First pair of SAS that I’ve had so I’m thinking it might be a go-to brand for me. The toe bed could be a bit roomier but it will give some room for the leather to stretch out a bit. They are very comfortable, true to size and look great….make my feet look smaller too!
The navy is a very nice dark blue and will go well with navy pants or jeans. Just the right amount of support and the heel height is attractive while being comfortable. The heel doesn’t slip like many of my try-ons. They fit snug to my feet. I will say that the stretch piece, which is white, could have been blue because it does cause the tongue of the shoe to lift a bit and show the white but mostly from the wearers angle. They don’t look matronly at all which I thought they might. I would buy again or in other colors.

I’ve been wearing these shoes for years. Like walking on a cloud. I need a slip on shoe because of hip problems so these are perfect. Hope they bring back some colors from the past. Great product.

I have been wearing this style with the wedge for 20+ years and have not found any other shoe that has the arch support and comfort as the SAS shoe. Love that they slip off so I can take them off at the door when I make house calls. I just with they came in more colors, like brown! I have all 3 colors!
