Very comfortable, fully adjustable shoe! Love the buckles all around. Cute, but without too-high a heel. Feels stable and secure. Some or all parts made in the USA. What’s not to love?
Size 10.5 fits as expected, but when the ankle strap stretches out, I will probably have to tighten it up by adding an extra hole. (To accomodate my bony feet.) Luckily I’ve had lots of practice at this since virtually no shoes are made tight enough for me around the ankle!

I love these shoes so much I was looking forward to writing a review. I have been wearing these SAS style sandals in extra wide all over the world for over 15 years. I am now 75 years old and they are perfect for the summer with a little lacy look over the toe box. I have to add one hole in the front straps and that works perfectly. No pain in my hammer little toe. And now that Zappos carries they they are at my fingertips!

Originally I ordered this sandal in black, along with a pair of white sandals in another brand and style. After trying on the SAS Duo in black, I returned the white sandal in the other brand and exchanged it for a pair of the SAS Duo sandals in white. The SAS sandals are all comfort! The insole is soft making the entire sandal very good for walking. The straps are all adjustable with buckles and no Velcro. Sandals with Velcro straps may be stylish but my experience is that eventually the straps do not stay firmly fastened and create an unstable shoe for walking. These sandals are well made and true to your size. I’m looking forward to wearing them all summer!

Hands down the best sandal I have ever owned. The truest fit, the most comfortable. I started wearing SAS in my twenties and loved them then. They became difficult to find in narrow for a number of years, so I was thrilled to see them on Zappos recently. Sandal shopping had become a nightmare for me because of my thin, narrow feet. These shoes are saving me this year. Having worn this style before, I know that they will last for a long time.

Wearing these sandals is like walking on marshmallows! I have big problems with my feet. I have a bunion, but only on my left foot. I ordered these in 7W, even though my feet are a medium width minus the bunion. The left foot is perfect, and if later the right foot is too loose, I can tighten it. Right now they both are perfect. I needed something to wear to Morocco in the heat, and I had to have a sandal that was both dressy for evening, and comfortable to walk miles in while sightseeing. These I am pleased to say, are perfect. I ordered both the 7.5 M width, and the 7W. Sometimes I have to go to a 7.5 if a wide width is not offered because of my bunion. The 7 W is perfect. What a relief. I am going to order this sandal in more colors. Thanks to Zappos, I can order both widths in a shoe and return the one that does not fit as well. I order ALL my shoes from Zappos! Their customer service is absolutely the best, and they are my all time favorite online retailer.

I have extensive arthritis in my feet. This shoe has the right combination of support and comfort. Plus I feel they are attractive . I purchased a pair in black and white.bdatamia

I love these sandals! They’re not the trendiest, but they are so comfortable. I can walk all day in them with strong support. I especially love the multiple buckle options so the shoes fit perfectly true to my feet.

Found first SAS Duo at Goodwill. Only shoes that took the pounding off my knees before i got my knees replaced. So I still wear them. They feel like I don’t have any shoes on. Very light weight, didn’t have to curl my toes and use painful muscles and tendons to keep shoes on. No heal pain from sciatica with them. Only shoe I wear. I have owned probably 10 pair. I keep upgrading for my Sunday best and move others down to gardening then garbage. Love this shoe.

I needed some white sandals for my (step)daughter’s wedding on August 18. I went shopping at a bunch of stores and finally purchased a pair that I was not happy with, but was tired of shopping and just wanted to be done. When I got home, I got online to Zappos and found these SAS Duo sandals in white. Loved the look, so took a chance and had them sent to my destination. Happily, they fit perfectly (9 M) and were very stylish with the cutouts! Really elevated them from just plain white sandals. Expensive? Yes, compared to most, but a) they’re made in the USA and b) you can’t put a price on comfort! I have high arches, wider foot in the front and narrow at the heel. Try fitting shoes for these weird feet! I had never worn SAS shoes before but my BFF has several pairs and she has hard to fit feet also. (I used to wear Munro shoes when I was working, and they were great, but no need for working shoes anymore. I also have some Mephisto shoes but they discontinued the two styles I liked the most and they were about $200 each back in 2005). I liked these sandals so much, I ordered them in black, denim and antique tan! I know, lots of money out the door, but I think these will last me a long time, and they are super comfortable so will be worth it in the long run. The insole is so comfortable, like walking on air, not to mention all the dancing I did at the wedding and didn’t even have sore feet! I highly recommend these and they do have them in lots of widths for everyone to enjoy! I have another wedding coming up on September 8 and will wear them then as well. Get yourself a pair (or two!) and see what you think!

I’ve never taken a pair of shoes out of the box and worn them for an extended length of time with no problems. These were the first. They didn’t need to be broken in, I didn’t get blisters or red marks from the straps rubbing against my skin. They were just perfect. I walked significant distances with no issues, stood in lines without getting uncomfortable (I have trouble standing still for lengths of the – it hurts my left knee and my back). I can’t imagine a more perfect shoe.

These shoes were very comfortable, even for my very wide foot. But they look like old lady shoes. I am 65 and can’t afford to get too close to that look, since I’m almost there as it is. Returning.
Cindy –
For me these are keepers. I feel like I could walk all day in these in comfort. The upper interior against my skin is soft. The foot bed is also soft near the skin but firm and supportive. They are understated in style, simple, versatile.
A bonus for me is that in addition to a good arch they have a subtle outer heel support. This reminds me of medical inserts I’ve been prescribed. It is slight but allows my foot to feel relaxed in the sandal rather than fighting to stay in the shoe as can happen with slingbacks. I think they will help avoid knee and back pain and look good while at it!
Made in US.

I wear a 9 Narrow and these fit perfectly! The buckles with many adjustable holes are far superior to velcro closures on the straps, which I can elongate over time making for an overlong “tail”. The sueded footbed is comfortable in a steamy climate; the beige lizard print that I chose has a pleasant sparkle and visual texture enlivening an otherwise neutral shoe. As for the price: my narrow feet have never allowed me to wear inexpensive shoes. I’ve learned to save money elsewhere.

I liked these enough to buy them in other colors. I returned the white pair because it is not true white. I’m not sure the image captures it, but the shoe is more of a beige/cream color than white. I got the shoe in denim and antique tan, and I am still looking for a white sandal. Four stars because color is off, but five stars for comfort.

Very good looking sandals.Over the years I purchased 10 pairs of shoes from SAS always fitting perfectly.Lasting for years.Just love the feeling.I was visiting San Antonio SAS factory in 2003 was very educational to meet people who worked there.love these shoes!

Most comfortable sandal ever! It’s so hard to find sandals in narrow widths and the fact that this one actually fits is so wonderful. Walking on these sandals is like walking on a cloud–so glad I purchased them and will definitely buy more colors!
Nancy –
I love this sandal! I have wide feet and falling arches and the wide width provides great arch support! I buy these every few years because they seem to last a long time. Most of the shoes that I wear that are comfortable are made by SAS; they have such excellent products!

Depending on the leather style, I wear this shoe
either for sport or dress up. It is comfortable and
Stylish. This year the leathers are more interesting
and Versatile. My size is narrow: very difficult to
find. SAS never fails to fit.
Tara –
Received for upcoming vacation. Thought I’d better wear them a day to break them in.
No need. Extremely comfortable right out of the box and made in the USA. It doesn’t get any better!
Broke F –
The Duo sandals are the best I have ever found for my feet. They never wear out! The only shoes I can wear. I broke my foot 10 years ago and a coworker told me to get SAS shoes. I got these because I couldn’t wear closed in shoes. I’ve been wearing them ever since for 10 years. Please don’t ever change them or stop making them. I wear them to work with my dresses and pants. I wear them at home with my shorts. I wear them every day everywhere. You can walk forever in them. When they start getting loose I just adjust the straps. I buy one or two pairs a year. I hate to get rid of the old ones but after pounding the pavement every day for a year the beds wear out. And your feet can feel it. But the rest of the sandal never wears out! I have to drive a ways to get them because there are no stores around here. I like to go to the stores because sometimes they have sales. They seem to be more expensive online. If not for that I would buy several pairs a year.
Jeanne –
The feel of the footbed is supportive and soft, they fit my heel and forefoot really nicely. I wear a narrow width.
Anonymous –
I like the style because it has straps across the front of the foot and I have very narrow fit and this allows me to tighten them up.
Jan –
I have bought SAS shoes for over 10 years. I have 12 pair. The quality is outstanding
Walker –
They fit my DDDD feet and are insanely comfortable. I purchased my first pair for warm weather wear, but since my knees have started bothing me, I also wear them indoors in the winter with wool socks, so I can kick them off when I need to put my legs up (cold house.)
Granet –
The toe on this sandal is too flat and causes my foot to slide out the front opening. I have wide feet and have bought medium SAS in the past because “SAS shoes run wide”. This one does not. I love the look and color of the Duo Antique Tan sandal. The problem is the heel is higher than the toe and there is no tip-up at the toe to keep the foot from going through the front. Design flaw.
