   Very comfortable from the start. Support is comfortable and yet therapeutic. I tried these shoes to help with back pain issues.

   I love these shoes. Like my other SAS shoes, I literally took them out of the box and was able to wear them all day on the first day. I like the little piece of stretch material on the underside of the mary jane strap. Like the removable insole so I can let them air out etc. I have many SAS shoes and these are super comfortable just like the rest.

   For me, the leather was too hard. I am on my feet all day and walking a lot. It caused a lot of friction to my pinky toe.

   I love these shoes. I don’t usually wear SAS, but these were a true find for me. As a symphonic musician I have to have black leather dress shoes for the stage. I always have trouble finding a shoe that is comfortable and yet fits all the requirements. This shoe is great. The Mary Jane style keeps the shoe on my foot especially on slippery stage floors. The footbed is so supportive that I don’t need to use my custom orthotics. My orthotics fit in the shoe if I remove the footbed, but with the arch support and toe support that is built into the footbed, I don’t need them. The sole is squishy and gives with you as you walk across hard surfaces. The heel is low enough to be comfortable but dressy enough to look great! These were a real find for my purposes.

   I wanted to love this shoe. I am on my feet all day, I am looking for a comfortable Mary Jane. This is not it. They are so narrow. I do not have a wide foot.

   Purchased these for my notoriously hard to fit teenage daughter, who also happens to hate high heels of any kind but who needed something dressy enough to wear for orchestral performances.
   These fit her very wide, low arched feet *perfectly* and she wore them all evening that same day they were delivered w/o any complaints.
   Just for comparison, we bought a pari of wide Naturalizers as well, but they weren’t even close. So if you’re looking for true wide widths, SAS is where it’s at.

   I usually wear size 8.5WW but based on reviews I bought 9WW. I’m very surprised by these. I never thought SAS would have a cute style. These are “grandma” shoes in a cute modern way. The leather is nice and soft and they look high quality. I’m surprised at how light they are. I work in hotels and am on my feet all day. I alternate between wedges and flats. This has a bit of a heel but I still consider this a flat.
   I am glad I purchased 9. The 8.5 would have been a little too short. These naturally have a long look. I kind of like that because they make my wide feet look a little longer. I wish the toe box was a little wider but so far they fit without rubbing at my small toe and I expect the leather to stretch.
   I love the insole. It’s very smooth without seams and there are a few perfectly placed cushions. My feet are fairly flat and my arch feels good.
   Only small issue is that the heel is a tad bit shallow. If there was no Mary Jane strap, the heels would slip. I like this because it’s like Dansko’s how the heel naturally slips. I’m looking forward to wearing these with dresses and tights, pants and leggings.

   I loved the look of these shoes, they’re so dressy looking. I’ve been searching for a pair of dressy looking shoes that I can wear to church and on cruises when I dress up for the evening but don’t wear heals. After reading other reviews, I ordered a 9WW instead of my usual 9W. I have a bunion and hammer toes on one foot and problems getting shoes wide enough to fit. These are a little loose in the heals, but since they have the strap I can adjust them enough. I’m so happy to have a pair of dressy shoes that are wide enough for my problem bunion.

    Maria: Bought this pair in advance of a trip to Cobblestones and all day walking (good enough styling for going out at night and not looking like a “country bumpkin” in runners.) My old mary janes: Velcro had had it after being replaced at least once. And another pair was pixilated SUEDE, not what you can wear rain or shine. I applaud the all-leather, in and out, as once I used a waterproof spray on a new pair of shoes, it reached the lining which was “dreck” if you get my meaning, cracked and crumbled. UGh. These fit my narrow or even slim feet very well. I decided on the narrow because I may want to wear pretty cotton socks with them in case of rain. And yes, I’ve water-proofed (2 coats) and polished them, so no worry if they do get wet. Like saddles and tack, they’ll dry out naturally (no hair driers etc.!) I’m prepared to love them.

    After 6 months of wear, my SAS Shoes interior began to rip exposing a piece of hard plastic that cut my foot and ripped my stockings. After writing and mailing my shoes back to the SAS Company because of the defect, they would not replace the shoes or fix the problem. These shoes are far too expensive for the company not stand behind their product. I would NEVER buy SAS Shoes again and would NOT recommend them to anyone else!

    These shoes are perfect for Christmas parties when I don’t want a high heel and I need to stand a lot. The glossy finish makes them look special, and the wide sizing fits my irregular toes very well.

    I got these shoes because they came in my impossible dream size 10.5ww and had high hopes, BUT these do not fit like a double wide. I suppose the toe box is not high enough or rounded enough for my problematic-Birkenstock-loving feet. Not only that, the leather isn’t soft and the sole is too plastic feeling instead of a nice cushy rubber. I have to return them and the search is still on!

    I so wanted to love these shoes. A classic Mary Jane and so comfortable, but I had issues with the fitting of the heels. They kept insisting on sliding even with cushions. I tried my usual size, a half size smaller and larger, a full size smaller and larger. It was a no go. Obviously not made for my feet.

    I had a pair size 7 1/2 and it fit perfectly. This new pair I bought in size 8 (read reviews). It was one centimeter shorter than my size 7 1/2 and was not even close in width.
    My first one was the most comfortable shoe I have worn, now this one I could not even get my foot in.
    Will go to store and compare sizes there and then order again.

    I currently measure at a 7.5 M but as I’ve headed toward middle age, have tended to get 8s. I tried both and opted for the 8 M. The 7.5 felt too narrow and just not quite enough room, and I don’t have wide feet. The 8 slipped just a bit in the back, but not worried about it. Super comfy. My best friend has raved about these shoes for years and has put ridiculous mileage on them traveling the world, working special events, and just every day wear.

    THIS IS A REALLY NICE SHOE IT IS WELL-MADE AND HAS EXCELLENT SUPPORT. I ORIGINALLY WAS TRYING TO FIND A BALLET FLAT, BUT NONE OF THEM HAD ENOUGH SUPPORT FOR MY NEEDS. THIS SHOE WOULD HAVE FIT THE BILL AS A REPLACEMENT FOR A BALLET FLAT WITH MORE SUPPORT. I REALLY LOVED IT, AND I WAS SO DISAPPOINTED THAT IT DID NOT FIT. MY REGULAR SIZE (7 1/2 W) WAS TOO TIGHT. I ORDERED THE WW, BUT IT WAS TOO BIG. THANKS TO ZAPPO’S GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE I CAN KEEP TRYING TO FIND A COMFORTABLE AND WELL-FITTING SHOE.

    These were nice shoes that I wanted to keep but I’m a senior and having to latch and unlatch the buckle knocked them off my consideration list. I like the Mary Janes with Velcro closures.

    I bought these in black for my walk-around shoes in Italy and France. They also will be my “dressy” shoes with a shorter length little black dress. In my opinion not clunky at all but I wear a size 5 so that helps I have been wearing them for months and have loved the comfort of them. I can leave for Europe knowing my feet won’t be tired or achy and that I can walk for a full day in them. LOVE these shoes and highly recommend.

    I have purchased these in the past and have decided to purchase them again. I am 53 and have been wearing SAS shoes for 2-3 decades. These Mary Janes are the most comfortable and look good with pants and dresses. While the fit is true to size, I have a high arch, and the leather is slightly stiff at first. Condition the leather regularly, and they will loosen up as you wear them. If you take care of them they will last a couple of years.

    I have had these shoes for like 2 yrs now ..
    they are very comfortable and the best part !!! No need to buckle just slips in so no bending !!!! I’m flight crew so walking to airports all the time !!!
    The metal buckle does go off if you’re going thru security !! Dr o u need to take them off!!!

    I really like this shoe. It isn’t as dressy at the picture shows. However, it does run large. I originally ordered my usual size 10 and returned it for a size 9-1/2, which fits perfectly.
