Bought these at another site & missed the return deadline by 3 days! These are fine shoes & purchased for the slip-on style & non-slip sole, but they are a bit narrower than Free Style SAS shoe, and looser in the heel. So, I guess I am stuck & will try another insole/socks to see if they are tighter in the heel. The Free Style – well I love the denim ones I bought on Zappos (I needed to break those in but now I love them so much I bought another pair here). All are an 8 wide, needed for foot issues – bunion, arthritis, broken toe & bone spur. I only wish is that the Free Style sole was non-slip.

These are amazing shoes. Not beautiful to look at, I admit, but not bad. When worn with black slacks and black tights, they blend in.
Why are they are amazing? I found them comfortable from day 1. Soon after purchasing them, I wore them when walking over 5 miles per day on cobblestones and rain-slicked sidewalks in Paris and I never had a moment’s discomfort. Also amazing: the non-slip sole, especially on the many slick marble staircases in Paris.
My feeling is this: when you wear a beautiful scarf and a nice jacket, along with the smile that comes from being comfortable and secure in your footing, no one is going to notice these shoes!

I am on my feet for many hours at a time. I put them on to try them, wore them around the house & actually forgot I had new shoes on!! I wore them all day & not a bit of discomfort! I’ve been wearing Dansko clogs & didn’t think I could possibly find anything as wonderful… But these ARE wonderful! I was “forced” to find a new style because of my job. The toe box is very roomy, but still look sleek. I have a bit of a hammertoe on one foot, but felt no rubbing. I am very happy since I had foot problems before I wore the clogs. I believe these will be just as comfortable, relieving my fear of having sore feet at the end of a long day. Thank you for making a shoe that will not only look great, but give me comfort!

I work in a restaurant and have been searching for a shoe that was slip resistant in double wide . This shoe is it ! I am soo happy i am going to order another pair .

I have a wide foot but narrow heel. I originally bought 7 1/2 W, the width and heel were great but the length was way too long. I exchanged for a 6 1/2 WW, and the width and length felt great, but my heel kept popping out big time. I tried a heel pad but it still popped out. Unfortunately, I had to return this pair and gave up trying another size. I wish it would of worked, would have been great for my upcoming trip to Europe.

These are very sturdy shoes with a nice height arch support. I am on my feet constantly for work and these shoes do not let me roll my foot (which I have been doing in other shoes to accommodate recent heel pain). They are comfortable all day and seem to be wearing well. I have had them for over a month and they still look new- any ice or yuck wipes right off. Not sexy (they look best with pants), but very good shoes! I usually wear Merrills, but haven’t been able to find any of their styles to fit my specifications. These are a good alternative.

Love these shoes. Perfect for someone with a lot of foot issues and has trouble finding shoes that can be worn ALL day. They are very comfortable, offer great support, are true to size and the style is pretty good considering they are a comfort shoe. I’d def recommend this shoe to just about anyone.

If gloves were made for feet these would be the shoes that would fit the bill. Love them!

I love wearing these shoes – the look, the feel. I felt safe walking on somewhat slippery surfaces during the winter. Really love the style of these shoes.

I had second thoughts spending so much money on a pair of shoes. Let me tell you, totally worth it. I am a server, and spend long hours on my feet. This is the first time my feet have not hurt since purchasing and wearing these shoes. Highly recommend!

This is my second pair of SAS Patriots and my 5th pair of SAS shoes. They feel good right out of the box, sturdy, comfortable to wear all day. I know from past experience they last a long time. I’d love if SAS had a few more fashionable styles to choose from, but in the meantime I hope they never discontinue making this shoe.

I work in a restaurant and do about 8-10,000 steps per day, 5 days a week. Yes, it’s about 20 miles every week. I purchased these about 3 years ago and thought to myself (“I have never spent so much money on a pair of shoes that I trash every day”).
But I have bunions and one foot has already had surgery, and these are BY FAR the most comfortable work shoes I have ever worn and they have outlasted any cheap non-slips I have ever bought.
For the record, and probably NOT recommended by SAS, I have washed these about every 2 months, with a load of (not my prettiest) towels. They get really icky and smell pretty bad. I let them sit out to dry and I have never had any issues with fit or performance. And after a good wash, they are back to smelling and looking good.
I wear a size 8 in all my NIke shoes and a 7.5 W or WW in the Patriot.

Overall, the fit and support of this style initially seemed good. However, after wearing them for a short time, I could tell that they were too tight across the instep for me. Therefore, I had to return them. Once again, I appreciated Zappos customer service which offers quick service and easy returns.

Since I bought this style of SAS shoes many years ago, I have worn them 95% of my waking hours. The triple width is superb; the large bunion on one of my feet never bothers me when I wear these shoes, even if I walk 5 miles. The 1.25 inch heal is also excellent because it doesn’t put too much pressure on the ball of the foot. I am about to buy another pair of this same shoe. While SAS shoes are expensive compared to cheaper shoes by other brands, these shoes are the best investment I can make in the health of my feet, in my posture, and ultimately in my overall health, and they last for many years.

These are so comfortable. They seem very well made and sturdy. I like that they are slip resistant. I’m very pleased with these shoes..

Shoes feel Heavenly! They look great too! I was afraid they would have an old grandma look! But it looks chick and elegant! Im extremely happy. Im on my feet at least 12 hours everyday!

I am a public bus driver and I need black shoes as part of my uniform. I also like having shoes without laces. I have big, wide feet and the Patriot 12 double wide in black meets all my needs. They are a little tight out of the box, but break in in a few days. Very comfortable. I walk about 1.8 miles to work in the morning with a backpack and my feet feel fine. Since I don’t have a car and walk most places, I put a lot of wear on the sole, and a pair lasts me two months if I wear them all the time. The upper is very durable leather.

Comfortable, protected my feet from anything im completely satisfied love it

Sturdy, supportive shoes, however these may not work for you if you have high insteps which I do from an old accident resulting in arthritis. Shoe puts too much pressure on instep which also happens with any lace up tennis shoe. Had to return them. Thank goodness for Zappos wonderful return policy!

Hammer toes? Yep. Bunions? Yep.
Working on restaurant and need slip resistant shoes? Yep Wide feet? Yep
These shoes are amazing. I love them. I was to a point of buying new shoes every 30 days and none of the shoes I was buying could help with my “feet problems” . I was worried about buying these at first but I’m glad I did. I work long days and stay on my feet a lot, they take the pressure off my toes and are wild enough to give me space. I’ll buy again

I wear these shoes to work and they are nice enough to wear out and about including dinner at friend’s houses. They go with jeans or dress pants and cradle and support my feet. Most importantly they truly are slip resistant. I had the opportunity to try them out during a November sleet storm. Thank You to all the workers at SAS!!!

Been wearing my SAS shoes for years. Have worked a lot of years on my feet. Working on concrete, hardwood, carpet etc. I work health care and want wear anything but SAS shoes. They look great, and feel wonderful and go with what ever I choose to wear.

I work in health care. Standing, walking a lot. On concrete floors mostly. But some carpet at times. These shoes help with my legs and feet. Great shoe

As I have knee & hip problems, I like to make certain my feet don’t slip on slippery surfaces. These shoes have the best traction of any I’ve used so far. The boots I’ve just recieved (Alpine), have the same type of tread, so I should be able to wear them with confidence.
