These are great shoes, very comfortable! They are great for work, as they have rubber sole, and I do a lot of walking at work. They also come in widths, which is great for me, because I have a narrow foot, and the narrow width fits me perfectly.

This is the second pair I am buying for my boyfriend. I bought the first pair 2 years ago and he hasn’t stopped wearing them since. He wears them in the garden, taking trail hikes, doing chores, and to the office.He is able to get them looking like new again after getting them muddy and dusty , but I bought him a second pair so he could have a clean pair for the office.

Pricey, good looking men’s shoes. My son wore them to the office 10 months and 2 weeks and the leather is coming away from the sole at the arch along the inside of the shoe. He has a desk job in an office so no idea what caused this but for the price I expect much better wear than this. Sadly, they are going back.

He has worn SAS shoes for years and loves this style. They are well made, excellent arch support, true to size and the width is true.

These shoes rate five stars out of five for fit and comfort. The narrow width was available, and it made all the difference. They are snug, and they felt right the first day that I wore them. These shoes are very serviceable. They were called topsiders. There is very little if any tread. So mud shouldn’t get caked on them before I come into the house. Also, I hope any friend with a yacht will say my shoes qualify. I just hope they remain as comfortable as they are now once they have been broken in.

I have worn SAS shoes for the past 35 or so years. I have this exact pair that’s at least 20 years old, but starting to show it’s age. Yes SAS last that long. I live in Texas and have always just driven to San Antonio to their factory store and purchased my shoes. But it’s about two hours away and I always spend too much money when I go. SAS doesn’t discount it’s shoes with anyone. But they are worth every penny you spend.

i ordered this shoe based on great reviews and was happy to find double wide – but my husband has a high instep and the shoe is full foot coverage so he was not able to get his foot into the shoe – otherwise quality shoe, good looking, etc. just didn’t work for us, had to return

Purchased SAS brand, Side Gore model. Shoes fit perfectly, and have a good balance between flexibility and support. Uppers leather nice feel and look – the cordovan coloring is uniform and a nice tone, and the surface pebbling adds a refined touch vs smooth leather. I bought a pair of this same model four and a half years ago, and with wear on average of three days per week, the soles are still intact but are quite worn… which is the reason I bought this new pair. I specifically bought the pair last time to wear when out walking on city streets, doing shopping, and as my main “more than casual but not quite dress” shoe when travelling – and have been happy with the level of wear.

I have bought SAS shoes since 1985, have recommended them 100’s of times. I have walked on cement floors for 40 years, after many of those years I decided to get me a pair of SAS shoes, knowing that I needed something that would support my feet and my body as everything rides on them just like a good car tire. I don’t bye cheap tires because I want to ensure I have the best considering the values that rides on them, my feet I consider the same. When I’ve worked a 12 hour day on concrete and go home my feet don’t hurt, my back doesn’t hurt, that is money well invested. I have a pair of the gore loafers on as I write this note that are more than 5 years old worn every other day, still polish up brand new. Before I bought SAS shoes I was going through a pair of shoes every 4 to 6 months.

I had purchased a pair of these in size 10 1/2 approximately ten years ago, wore them almost every day to knock around in, and the sole of the left foot finally cracked. I guess that, as I’ve aged (70), my feet have spread out somewhat and the ends of my toes were getting sore. I ordered two new pairs, sizes 11 and 11 1/2, thinking that maybe a half size larger would be enough, but I ended up needing the size 11 1/2 pair and returned the size 11. They fit very well, and I have room to grow! An excellent shoe, in my opinion.

This shoe was exactly as described in both length and width. It took me a couple of days wearing around the house to break them in properly but once I did that they fit perfectly. Very comfortable shoe with good arch support.
