Sheila W –
Great shoe. In fact, a fantastic pair of shoes. I recently purchased these and one thing I noticed is that from the second I took them out of the box I was able to wear them all day. Really no break in period at all, they were just soft and comfortable right away. I really only have been using them to walk my dogs about two miles each day, run errands, go to yoga, etc. I love the blue sole and the matching blue and black laces. The liner of the shoe is removable and it seems very padded. I really recommend these.

This has become my favorite weekend shoe. Less bulky than most athletic shoes but just as comfortable.

Ok, I have to first let you know that I have been wearing SAS shoes for like 15 years (maybe longer). There is a shoe called the free time that I have worn for a very long time now. I have always said that I wish this company could put the comfort of that shoe into something that looked less clunky. I have tried to find this elsewhere and it is just not possible, I have always just kept going back to that shoe as it is amazing. Anyway, I actually purchased this Sporty after seeing them in an ad in a magazine. I read the other reviews on here and I have a different opinion. The shoe is slightly heavy but wow, same SAS comfort, if not better. After having wore them for many weeks now I love them. I finally have another pair of SAS shoes that I love but they seem younger looking. Did not buy these from Zappos but I am on here right now to buy another color so thought I would write a review.

I really like these shoes after 1 month of wear. Very comfortable and stable! I love the metal lacing system. Orthotics friendly. Fits great, like my other SAS, but they look more stylish and age-appropriate. I need stabilization and these do that well. They were comfy out of the box, but a bit stiff. The high quality leather took awhile to break-in. They come with two sets of laces: white trimmed with teal and all teal. The soles are teal. Note: they are not very breathable. They are textured- they are not vented. Well made! Pain-Free! I highly recommend!

I like the way this shoe looks, but the sole is incredibly stiff and the shoe is uncomfortably warm even though it is moderately cool today. Too bad. The sizing is good.

Super cushiony and true to width (I have bunions and ordered the EE which was even wider than I normally need!). The size 7 felt more like a 7.5 or an 8.

I love the styling of this shoe. My foot is long and narrow and this shoe actually fit. Unfortunately, I found it be be very heavy and flat feeling. I wish they could make it in a lighter wight material with better arch support. I wore one pair, but the other will be going back.

I loved the look of this shoe and the silver color, but unfortunately, it rubbed the front of my ankle too much to be comfortable. Sending back.

I really wanted to like these shoes. They felt very comfortable when I took them out of the box and tried them on. As soon as I started walking in them I had a problem as my heels were slipping out of the shoes. I could barely keep them on. I wear a size narrow and I have tried medium shoes on that had a narrower heal than these shoes. It felt as though they made a narrow shoe with an extra wide heal. Very disappointed as I thought for this price these would be great shoes. I would suggest people order a narrow if they have a medium foot as these shows have such a wide heal. These are going back.

I like the blue on this shoe, it pops out well! However these shoes did not work for me. I work in a cubicle environment, but I try to take a walk around every hour. I also have a standing desk. I stood for an hour and my feet start aching shortly afterwards. All day my foot ached and it was bliss once I took off the shoes! I need shoes that I can stand in for long periods of time and they did not work for me.

These are true to size & width, but the tongue of the shoe is too short & not cushioned. It is at the bend of my ankle to my foot! Also, the soles are stiff feeling & make loud clack against floor. I love SAS shoes..but not this one!

Loved the look of this shoe and the comfort level seemed great but the tongue area is too long and dug into my foot. There’s no way I’d be able to stand in them for long. Such a shame because they felt amazing otherwise.
Caarol –
This is a beautiful shoe. Since I have slippage in the heel this shoe will not work for me. I was rather disappointed in the arch support it provided me.

These are a nice looking shoe, but I found the flat heel weird for walking. I need more cushioning. They almost seem like slippers to me–not much support or cushioning. They are pricey and I have worn them outside so can’t return them. They have many sizes and widths, though. Too bad they didn’t work for me.

I love that these came in Slim widths. The heel fit good & snug…I don’t really know…just some how these did not fit right. I may order again at a later date. I ordered both the 9S and the 81/2 S. I wear an 81/2 S in SAS. It fits me always! So, the 9 was too big–the 81/2…just not right. I ordered the Walk Easy & it fits. Maybe just the nylon uppers on the Sporty were not as supportive as the leather on the Walk Easy. But a great shoe for someone who does not have feet like mine. I love the feel of SAS shoes!

This is a good looking shoe; however, it pinched at the toe box when walking.
LinOne –
As usual for SAS, quality is excellent, both leather and construction. Made in America. I ordered my regular size, 8AA, and the fit is perfect. They’re comfortable with plenty of support and spring in my step. The white and grey saddle-shoe-like look is unique and stylish. Love the crisp white/paler gray/turquoise blue combination. Worth the price tag.

I’m very disappointed. I love SAS, but these shoes really let me down. I wear a 11.5, N shoe. That’s what I ordered and what I got. The shoes are big, my left heel slips up and down like crazy. When I walk, the top of the shoe creases, making a deep fold of the stiff fabric digging into my foot. This may be due to the large size, but whatever. Oh, I love the lacing system.
I opened the box, said “Oh cool, they’re so cute” , and put them in the closet. I tossed the box, no need to try them on, because SAS shoes are always just right. Boy, was I wrong. I wore them to the gym and was never so glad to get home in my life.
I am SO sorry I didn’t try them on before I committed to them, or I would have returned them at once. Moral of the story is : Always try your shoes on before wearing them and before tossing the package.

If you have a high instep, then this shoe is not for you. It really pinched near the bottom of the laces for me (I have a high instep).

Love this shoe,my orthotics work fine, and shoe very light and stylish, accommodates my bunions and arthritic feet.

I’ve been buying SAS shoes and sandals for years – all the same size and have never had a problem with fit. Ordered the Sporty in the same size and it is cut smaller than the other shoes I have.

These are very attractive shoes – I liked that a lot. I ordered my usual 9M, and the fit was good. I did send them back, however, because these seemed more of a casual shoe than a training shoe. Another reviewer had stated that the tongue rubbed the front of her ankle, and I found the same to be happening. After walking around the house for a few minutes, I noticed that the area was going to be sore.

These shoes feel heavy and clunky. There was not enough support and shock absorption for me. The bright turquoise sole is cool, and very grippy.

I have many SAS shoes – esp. like Free Time in 8W (but thinking I need 8.5W). Decided to try the “Sporty” in 8W – which has now proved to be narrower than expected and also shorter. The insole feels strange – like I can feel the outer sole through it. Decided to get another pair of Free Time instead, but going for a pair in 8.5W, after chatting with Customer Service. I have a terrible time finding shoes – but recently (3.5 weeks ago), had a toe implant for Hallux Rigidus (including removal of large bone spurs & arthritis). Needless to say it is helping a lot, but am now donating many pairs of shoes which I could previously only wear for an hour or more. Which shoe I can wear depends on the style esp. in the toe area – I still need room there and no stitching if possible. The Sporty I had my doubts about – because there is stitching right in the front, with an extra piece of material there, unlike the Free Time style. I think with a slightly larger and wide shoe I will be able to wear a mid weight walking sock. Thanks to Zappos for their return policies and selection.

heel too wide. both heels slipped out with each step
